What's New at SereneStayBali — July 2026

We have been quietly shipping improvements over the past few weeks. Here is what changed and what it means for you.

A public blog

You are reading it right now. We added a blog to the SereneStayBali website where we will share tips for Bali hosts, feature updates, and stories from the community. Expect posts about getting the most out of your concierge page, best practices for guest communication, and behind-the-scenes looks at what we are building.

Faster everywhere

Every page on SereneStayBali now loads noticeably faster. We reworked how the app fetches data from the database — property dashboards and concierge pages now run multiple queries at the same time instead of one after another. The result is a snappier experience whether you are managing properties from the dashboard or scanning a QR code as a guest.

We also switched how fonts are loaded. Instead of blocking the page while waiting for Google Fonts, the app now self-hosts them with a fallback that renders text immediately. Your guests see content faster, even on slow Bali WiFi.

Improved image handling

Images uploaded to your concierge pages are now served in modern AVIF and WebP formats automatically when the browser supports them. This means smaller file sizes, faster loading images, and the same quality. You do not need to do anything — it happens behind the scenes for every photo you upload.

Stronger account security

We tightened the security around service editing. Previously, authorized users could modify services if they knew the internal ID. Now the system verifies that you actually own the property before allowing any changes. There is nothing you need to do differently — it is just an extra layer of protection running in the background.

We also improved form validation across the app. Contact submissions, service forms, and login flows now catch malformed input earlier, reducing errors and keeping the database clean.

Better admin experience

The admin dashboard got a few quality-of-life improvements: a version badge so you can see which release you are on, a cleaner impersonation flow that makes it obvious when you are viewing as another user, and a more organized sidebar navigation.

A new Blog section is also available in the admin panel for managing posts like this one.
